Take Me Back Tuesday
Yes, I’m still here and still stitching as time allows. I’ve been busy between work and marathon training. I have picked up a couple of stash related items lately. My newest acquisition is the Best of Teresa Wentzler Sampler Collection.
From Take Me Back Tuesday:
1. Name three songs with the word ‘time’ in them.
Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce
Time by the Alan Parsons Project
Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper
2. Name three artists with time related words in their name.
Three Dog Night
Morris Day & The Time
Gladys Knight (ok, so it’s a different spelling)
3. Name three albums with time related words in the name.
One Trick Pony by Paul Simon
Time by Fleetwood Mac
Punch the Clock by Elvis Costello
3x Thursday Meme
From the 3x Thursday meme:
What are the 3 main influences in your life? Why?(1 paragraph for each one)
My grandmother - She is a woman who loved unconditionally and unhesitantly. Everyone who ever met her ended up calling her “Gran” at her own insistance. Everyone was a friend, no one was ever hungry or without clothing if she knew about it, and she was, without a doubt, the most compassionate person I’ve ever known in my life.
Compassion - This is definitely a strong drive and influence in my life. I’m sure it’s due to the influence of my grandmother. I always strive to see the best in people and situations. My sense of compassion is always what drives me to spend time volunteering for charities.
Inner Strength - I hope this doesn’t sound too narcissistic, but I consider myself and my own inner strength as a major influence in my life. Without going into all the gory details, I’ve survived a LOT in my life and I’ve come through to the other side. I often draw on those experience to get me through current life situations.
Bonus Question for Comments: What’s your greatest achievement in life so far?
This is actually the easiest one for me to answer. Without a doubt, the greatest achievement in my life thus far has been losing over 100 pounds! I’ve done it following the Weight Watchers program. Has it been easy? No. Has it been annoying as hell at times? Yes. Has it been worth it? WITHOUT A DOUBT!
