Good day for S.E.X.!!
WOO HOO! My stash overfloweth today!
My charts arrived from France. In addition to the charts I ordered, Jackye also graciously sent me a copy of the Pour Mon Ange chart which was also on my wish list. Thank you, Jackye!!!
They are all so beautiful! The most difficult decision will be decided which to stitch first and when I’ll get a chance to actually start one of them. I’m going to try and be VERY good and finish some of my WIPs before starting something else.
We’ll see how I actually do once the silks from Vikki arrive.
I also noticed today that Bobbie has another sale going, so I decided to take advantage of the gift certificates I received for my birthday. (Thank you Jill & Cathy!) I was able to get all of the following stash:
JBW Designs French Country I Rabbit
Heart In Hand Needleart Autumn Tiny Trimmings
Bent Creek Littles Bunny
Dinky-Dyes Cottage Garden Silk Pack
Shepherd’s Bush All Through the Year
Shepherd’s Bush Buttoned Hearts
Shepherd’s Bush Evening Sampler
Shepherds Bush Flag
Shepherd’s Bush Snow Folio
Olde Willow Stitchery Linen Threads 234L Mulberry (3 skeins)
John James Tapestry Petites Size 28 (2 packs)
Between the size 28 needles I bought today and the size 26 needles that Darla gave me for my birthday, I’m good to go for quite a while. I shouldn’t have to buy needles for quite some time.
Then, if that weren’t enough, I also popped in at the last minute and placed an order with Drema at Needlecraft Corner to take advantage of my birthday discount before February ended. If it hadn’t been for someone posting on the Legacy board about using their discount, I would have completely forgotten.
Here’s what I got on that order:
With My Needle Quaker Needlework Treasures
With My Needle Bunnies in the Garden
Now I’m back in the position of having to be patient and wait for everything to arrive. Yeah, patience has never been one of my strengths.
I guess I’ll just have to console myself with doing a lot of stitching and planting myself firmly on the wagon (other than my March GAST TOTM from Silkweaver) until CATS Vegas.
Happy stitching!

Crossroads, seem to come and go, yeah.
The gypsy flies from coast to coast
Knowing many, loving none,
Bearing sorrow havin’ fun,
But back home he’ll always run
To sweet Melissa… mmm…

Another finish
I completed the stitching on my third finish for 2006 last night. I can’t post a pic of it just yet though as it’s for a birthday exchange and will soon be heading to the land down under to Cathy. I plan to do the actual finishing on the piece this coming weekend now that the stitching is out of the way.
Today was another good stash in the mail day for me, too. I realized my goodies that I ordered from Bobbie during her recent Super Bowl sale.
The package consisted of a fat half of 34-count Oaten Scone linen by Legacy Linen, all of the beads I need for my Celtic Christmas WIP, and the Kreinik braids I need for my Cookie Dragon WIP. I am one VERY happy stitcher this evening after looking through all of my newest stash.
I did place another order for more stash today, too.
I ordered some new silks from Vikki Clayton. I ordered her floss of the month collection #1 and four skeins of her regular silk in Turkey Red. I’m planning to use the Turkey Red for one of the A Mon Ami Pierre charts that I recently ordered. I just haven’t decided which yet.
It will probably be either Angel Quaker or Amities Des Anges. I also requested a few sample tags from some potential colors for the Quaker round robin that I’m participating in on the Legacy board.
I’m still doing well with my stitching for February. As of the bit of stitching I got in tonight, I’m at just over 26 hours for this month. Since my goal was for at least 20 hours, I’m very pleased. Hopefully I can surpass that amount during the month of March. I’ll be posting my March goals in the next couple of days.
Happy stitching!
Monday, February 27
The past couple of days have been really difficult for me food-wise. I’ve really been struggling quite a bit mentally due to the pain medication. I’ve been teetering on the edge of bingeing. I think that’s a lot of the reason why I’ve not been meeting my point target. I’ve basically been eating as little as possible while still meeting the 20 point bare minimum requirement in the hopes that I won’t just keep eating and eating once I get started. My plan for tomorrow, however, is to meet my point target and stop the string of lower point days. Wish me luck!

Stitching Sunday
Sorry for not updating in a couple of days. Unfortunately, I threw out my back on Thursday and I’ve pretty much been hobbling around since then. Thankfully, Friday was my regular every other Friday off from work, so I was able to stay home and rest. So, most of my weekend has been spent just taking it very easy and being loopy from heavy duty pain medication.
I would love to say that I got in lots of stitching time since all I was doing was resting, but the aforementioned pain medication is not conducive to productive stitching time. I have gotten in a couple of hours total here and there though, mostly yesterday. I’m going to try and avoid taking the medication today, so I’m hoping to get in some good stitching time. I only have about an hour of stitching to go on a birthday exchange piece, and then I have another little small piece that I want to get started on as well.
I was reading Terri’s blog this morning and she had a link to a PictureTrail album that has some amazing stitching photos! I’ve been doing some major drooling looking at all of the lovely pieces. If you love monochrome French-sytle stitching, the album is a MUST SEE!
I had a lovely mail day yesterday! (Thankfully, one of my neighbors has been very kind and has been retrieving my mail for me since I live in a 2nd floor apartment.) I had ordered some charts in a group order on the Legacy board. So, in my mail yesterday, Accessories Quaker AMAP and Angel Quaker by A Mon Ami Pierre arrived.
Ok, off to stitch … Happy stitching!

CATS Countdown
Thursday was a pretty quiet day for me, thankfully. I did get in an hour of stitching on a birthday exchange piece for Cathy as I watched the Olympics tonight. I also created a countdown timer for CATS Vegas. The timer will appear on my main website (it’s about halfway down). Yeah, can you tell I’m getting excited about it?
Happy stitching!
