Stitching Sunday

Sorry for not updating in a couple of days. Unfortunately, I threw out my back on Thursday and I’ve pretty much been hobbling around since then. Thankfully, Friday was my regular every other Friday off from work, so I was able to stay home and rest. So, most of my weekend has been spent just taking it very easy and being loopy from heavy duty pain medication.

I would love to say that I got in lots of stitching time since all I was doing was resting, but the aforementioned pain medication is not conducive to productive stitching time. I have gotten in a couple of hours total here and there though, mostly yesterday. I’m going to try and avoid taking the medication today, so I’m hoping to get in some good stitching time. I only have about an hour of stitching to go on a birthday exchange piece, and then I have another little small piece that I want to get started on as well.

I was reading Terri’s blog this morning and she had a link to a PictureTrail album that has some amazing stitching photos! I’ve been doing some major drooling looking at all of the lovely pieces. If you love monochrome French-sytle stitching, the album is a MUST SEE!

I had a lovely mail day yesterday! (Thankfully, one of my neighbors has been very kind and has been retrieving my mail for me since I live in a 2nd floor apartment.) I had ordered some charts in a group order on the Legacy board. So, in my mail yesterday, Accessories Quaker AMAP and Angel Quaker by A Mon Ami Pierre arrived.

Ok, off to stitch … Happy stitching!

I also created a countdown timer for CATS Vegas. The timer will appear on my main website (it’s about halfway down). Yeah, can you tell I’m getting excited about it?

Happy stitching!

Mail from France?

Ok, so how long does it take for mail to arrive from France? I couldn’t resist any longer and ordered four charts from A Mon Ami Pierre today. Jackye’s designs are SO beautiful! Of course, now I just have to figure out when I’ll have time to actually stitch some of them. I had already ordered two previously via the Legacy board, so this will now bring my collection up to a total of six AMAP charts.

Here are the ones I ordered today:

Provencale Rouge
Welcome Roses
Amities Des Anges
Reves De Brodeuse

These are the ones I had previously ordered:

Accessories Quaker AMAP
Angel Quaker

I can’t believe it, but I did absolutely zero stitching yesterday. That’s the first time in several days that’s happened. I was working on the computer and watching the Olympics. By the time I got done, I decided it was too late and I was too tired to start stitching at that point. I do hope to get in a couple of hours tonight though. I’m definitely on track for meeting my goal of stitching a minimum of 20 hours this month, especially since I’m already at 21.5 hours per my tracking spreadsheet as of this writing.

Lastly, I want to say a big “Thanks!” to Cathy for another birthday surprise. She sent me a gift certificate to Stitching Bits & Bobs to order something from my wish list since she was unable to locate any of them in Perth. Now I just have to decide what to order!

Happy stitching!
