Well, actually, I got home Monday night, but I’m just now getting around to updating my blog. As of right now, I doubt I will plan to take 3 trips in a single month again … EVER! I enjoyed each trip tremendously, but I’m just plain TIRED … still. On the upside, even with staying in hotels and eating more meals out than at home this month, I managed not to gain any weight. I consider this a major victory!
This was definitely NOT a productive month for me stitching-wise though. I did amass a lot of stash, but did very little stitching. I definitely need to kick that into high gear though as I have 3 exchange/round robin pieces that all need to go into the mail in May. Again, not such good planing on my part.
Originally, the round robin piece (a Quaker RR from the Legacy BB) was going to have a May 1 mailing date, but it got pushed back to the end of May. The two exchange pieces are both from the Stitching Bloggers Exchange Board. One of them is the last installment in a birthday exchange group. The other is for the biscornu (8-sided pillow) exchange.
I got together with the group of local stitchers yesterday, so I find my stitching motivation is back. I actually got quite a bit done on the biscornu as we sat around and chatted. Sue (& her DH) graciously opened up their home to us. I include her DH because we were there for nearly 9 hours!
In addition to Sue and myself, the other guests included Veronica, Nancy, Jill, Laura, Darla, Debi, Laurel, and Sandi. Everyone had such lovely pieces they brought along to show off. Darla pretty much threatened me with a plate of food to the face for not bringing Rosemarkie to show off.
Well, I guess that’s the latest update for me. I’m off to stitch now.
Happy stitching!
