JCS Xmas 2006
I got my copy of the 2006 Just Cross Stitch ornaments issue today.
I looked through it and found several that I definitely want to stitch. Here are the ones that caught my eye on my first glance through it:
Pear Tree by Little House Needleworks
To Thee Hope by Brightneedle
Noel 2006 by Glory Bee
Winter by The Prairie Schooler
Winter’s Eve by Country Cottage Needleworks
A Christmas Wish by Blue Ribbon Designs
Quaker Pinkeeps and Scissors Fob with With My Needle
Quaker Medallion Strawberry Pinkeep by Blackbird Designs
Quaker Reindeer by The Workbasket
Peace on Earth by JBW Designs
In other stitching, I started a new project since my last entry. I started working on Home of a Needleworker by Little House Needleworks. I’m amazed at how quickly it’s stitching up. I’ll try and get a picture posted in the next few days.
On my health front, I started my physical therapy today. It was definitely a different experience and left me in a bit more pain than normal, but that’s to be expected from everything I’ve learned. I go back on Thursday for my next session, so hopefully I will have some relief really soon!
Happy stitching!
Monday, September 25
Ok, so I realize going all day without eating isn’t a good plan, but that’s the way things worked out today. It’s definitely not something I do regularly, so I’m not going to sweat that it happened today.

I’ve been struggling horribly it seems over the past couple of weeks. I’ve been dealing with a health issue that leaves me, quite often, in a great deal of pain. During those times, I seem to just lose all focus and could care less about sticking with my Weight Watchers plan. I’m hoping to get myself refocused and back on track.

Betsy - in response to your comment a couple of days ago, Z-bars are made by Clif Bars. They are actually designed for kids, but I think they’re very tasty. I like the fact that they are a baked whole-grain organic bar, have no trans fats, have no hydrogenated oils or high fructose corn syrup, have no preservatives or artifical flavors, and contain 12 vitamins and minerals. It’s a sweet treat that I don’t feel guilty for eating. I get them at Trader Joes for 49 cents each, and my personal favorite is the Chocolate Brownie flavor. Here is a link to their website:
Kris - in response to your comment about the pesto bulgur. I’m sure you probably could make it with a jarred pesto. I ran it through eTools on the WW website substituting 1/4 cup pesto sauce for the walnuts, basil, and garlic. It came out to 4 points per serving.
