Betsy – in response to your comment a couple of days ago, Z-bars are made by Clif Bars. They are actually designed for kids, but I think they’re very tasty. I like the fact that they are a baked whole-grain organic bar, have no trans fats, have no hydrogenated oils or high fructose corn syrup, have no preservatives or artifical flavors, and contain 12 vitamins and minerals. It’s a sweet treat that I don’t feel guilty for eating. I get them at Trader Joes for 49 cents each, and my personal favorite is the Chocolate Brownie flavor. Here is a link to their website:
Kris – in response to your comment about the pesto bulgur. I’m sure you probably could make it with a jarred pesto. I ran it through eTools on the WW website substituting 1/4 cup pesto sauce for the walnuts, basil, and garlic. It came out to 4 points per serving.

Ok, I realize this wasn’t necessarily the most nutritious of meals, but I got home late and the pita chips were calling my name.

I had a bit of a finish earlier this week. I’m coordinating and participating in a Quaker round robin on the Legacy board. I finished the stitching up for the current round and got it off into the mail. Here are a couple of pics:
This piece belongs to Pam from Montreal. She selected a beautiful piece of hand painted fabric. She selected three different colors of Caron Soie Cristale for her fiber. Her choice of fabric & fibers are just stunning, IMO! It was a pleasure to stitch on your piece, Pam.
I received the next piece in the mail yesterday. It belongs to Nancy down in San Diego. She selected a beautiful piece of 36-count linen and a Vikki Clayton silk (Wenge). Her combination is also beautiful! I’ve already started my stitching on her piece and should have a pic in the next few days.
Some of you who know me are aware that I’ve been dealing with some health issues and the doctors had not determined what was wrong. For the past 2+ months, I’ve been having a recurring problem with numbness on the right side of my body, most specifically in my arm and hand. After lots of different tests, I finally got the diagnosis last week. Two of the vertebrae in my neck are compressing on the right side. As a result, I have a cervical herniated disc and pinched nerve. As far as treatment goes, right now I’m waiting for the medical group to approve the request for physical therapy. Hopefully my body will respond to the PT. If not, I could potentially end up needing to have surgery.
Well, I guess that’s it for me for now. Happy stitching!
