Happy Summer Solstice!

I Love Summer

Well, today is the end of my 40 day challenge. I hopped on the scale this morning and I was the same weight as my weigh in last Saturday. Given that I flew cross-country day before yesterday, I’m not really surprised as I generally also retain water and feel bloated whenever I fly.

So, this brings an end to my Sunsplash challenge. I didn’t lose the amount of weight I would’ve liked, but hey, at least I DID lose weight. This is a big change for me from the last several months as I’ve been dealing with all of my health issues.

I have started another challenge for myself along with a group of other buddies on the weight loss message board. This challenge will run through Labor Day and I have set a goal for myself to lose 10 pounds. That will be an average of 1 pound per week, so please cross your fingers (and anything else you please) for me. )

I’m heading to the Summer Sunsplash today, so I’m not sure if I’ll get back to finish updating my journal for today until tomorrow. The down side for me today is that it will be too early for dinner before my flight leaves and too late for dinner once my flight lands since I’ll be crossing a couple of time zones. I may try to see if there is something points-friendly at the airport that isn’t very messy that I can take on the plane to eat for dinner when the provide beverage service. Either way, I’m taking my own points-friendly snack bar for the plane, so that should help me stay on track.

I’m on the downhill side of this challenge! WOOT!! 8)
