Dazzle Update

I enjoyed working so much on the Broom Hilda’s Hat canvas project that I’ve continued the trend. I’ve picked up another of my canvas WIPs to work on for a while. This piece is called Dazzle and is from local designer Margaret Bendig. I’m stitching it using Anchor floss and Fyre Works ribbon. For a size reference, this piece is on 10″ stretcher bars.

My toe is feeling a bit better today, too. The bruising is still pretty ugly, but at least the throbbing has stopped, so that’s good news! You know, I never really realized just how much use the toes are in supporting our bodies until I had one that’s injured.

I had my weekly weigh in for Weight Watchers today. I was only down 0.2 this week, but since I had such a HUGE loss last week, I’m not surprised. I’m looking at the big picture that I’ve lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks and not letting myself get hung up on the tiny loss this week.

I’m still going strong with my 50 day no cheats, no slips, no tweaks challenge. Today will be day 13. I definitely have some challenges coming up this week though. Tonight I will be having dinner with my former in-laws for an early St. Patrick’s Day celebration. There’s sure to be lots of good food and good beer flowing, so I’ll have to keep myself in check there.

On Thursday, my department having a big potluck at work. I’ve seen the menu of what people are planning to bring and it all sounds sooooo tasty. Again, I’ll have to really watch myself and not give in to too much temptation while still enjoying the occasion.
