I’ve gotten in some stitching time on my new needlepoint Christmas stocking I bought last weekend. I’m really loving how Santa’s coat is looking. I’m stitching it with Black Cherry Gloriana silk. I’ve also done a bit of work on the first area of trim about his coat. I’m doing it with a silk ribbon with a bit of pearl cotton padding underneath to help it stand out a bit.
Here’s a pic of what I have finished thus far. As always, you can click the image for a larger view.
This weekend also marked the end of round 1 of my 101 Things in 1001 Days challenge. Even though I didn’t get all 101 things accomplished, I did manage to complete 60 of them. At first I was stressing out a bit about not finishing it, but then I decided that since I was sidelined for quite some time with my spinal surgery that I was going to cut myself a bit a slack.
I’ve started putting together a new list of 101 Things. I’ve added a link for it in the tabs at the top of the page. I still haven’t quite finished it, but the vast majority of it is done. I actually made item 101 on the list the task of actually finishing the list.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

That stocking is truly beautiful. I also love the way that Santa’s coat is coming along.
Oh wow, great start on your stocking!!
