Wow! It’s rare to see someone finally posting pictures that aren’t full of snow and ice. I’m in Austin (along with MizFit!) and we get both here: ice in the morning and 70s by the afternoon.

This is that weird time of year, where I get up to the heater warming up the house, dress in capri-length pants and heavy socks, wade through the snow that still hasn’t melted, and then drive down to work. Then, I take the socks and coat off, enjoy the warm day, and then drive back home to the snow and the fireplace. I’m looking forward to the orange groves blooming – one of the best scents I know.

When I lived in Texas, everyone asked me if it was weird getting used to the hotter, more humid summers. That was actually fairly easy to get used to, since once it got that way it stayed that way, from May-November. Here in Ohio, it changes and that’s when you notice the heat or cold.

What was harder to get used to was seeing trees flowering in January and hearing crickets by Valentine’s Day. Now *that’s* just wrong! ;)
