One Woman Learning to Live Her Best Life

Warning: Long Vlog Post

When I started recording this new video yesterday, I really didn’t think I had much to say. Well, clearly I was wrong. lol I ended up rambling on for just over 14 minutes. So, consider that your fair warning.

I actually started recording before I really even knew what I was going to talk about other than my lack of motivation. It quickly turned in to a real stream of consciousness conversation. I started to make some major edits on it, but I ended up deciding that I really need to remember how I was feeling when I recorded this so I ended up just leaving it all intact. If you are inclined to watch all of it, wow, you must be really bored. P

Melissa, I believe in you. Hope you can find it in yourself to believe in you, too.

    Love you,
    Flo B.

  2. After watching your Vids, I’m a bit ticked with you. Why do you think that you’re not special? That your birthday shouldn’t be cause for celebration and a piece of chocolate cake? I want to smack you, girl!! Do you not know the joy you bring to others? How you make all of us feel so special? You won’t ever get over the feelings about your family. You might get used to not having them in your life, but it will always be in the back of your mind, no matter what you do. I did the same to my mother something like 4 years ago, but it still rankles, the way she treated me. When my birthday rolls around, I still secretly hope for different treatment. That won’t ever change. I just think of her less and less. And the way to succeed with a diet is to set aside a day every week or so, to eat those things that make us feel good during the eating; what we secretly yearn for. So, Mel, treat yourself every so often to something sinfully rich, or sweet, or so totally NOT on your diet. And email me when you have time–I have so many other things to say to you. Oh, and you have a great smile!

I understand how you feel about finding out where you fit. We may have some different circumstances, but I struggle with the same thing. And motivation… that’s a tough one… what makes you actually make the changes and not just think about them. Mine waxes and wanes, and I have trouble dealing with its inconsistency. I am just trying to be more on than off, and hope that it all evens out in a healthy direction in the end.

(((HUGS))), and I hope that you had a great weekend and come out with some useful ideas and techniques to help you refocus on taking care of yourself in a healthy way.

Melissa, I watched all 14 minutes, and I wasn’t bored a bit. Motovation is a struggle for alot of people, myself incuded. After having a crappy day, when my head hits the pillow all I can think about is how I’ll start tomorrow. Tomorrow never seems to come, as I’d forgotten about my thoughts by morning.

You do have motovation…look at your stats. You’ve had few set backs as far as excercing goes, but your will to continue is amazing.

Enjoy Disneyland, have fun, be goofy! I can fly down and join you! Hugs, Brenda

I have always been (and always will be) inspired by you. You are such an amazing, strong, beautiful and intelligent woman, who is perfect just the way you are. Just keep riding the waves, enjoy them, float on occasion, and eventually land on your feet.

Thank you for not doing the major edit on the vlog, and for sharing your honesty and raw thoughts. I (we all)feel them too from time to time.

BTW, I would do just about anything to spend your birthday with you at Disneyland! :-) (((Bigolehugs)))
