Ssshhh, don’t tell anyone, but I’m sneaking in from work to make a quick blog post. My DSL modem/wireless router at home died late last night. Until I get it replaced, I’m without internet connectivity at home except for my iPhone. If I can get out of work early enough tonight, I’m going to try and swing by Best Buy to pick one up, but it may not happen. Until I can get around to getting it replaced, you probably won’t see me online as much.
Anyway, on to the main topic for this post. I succumbed to the lure of some new designs I saw online this weekend and ended up breaking my 25-project no-stash challenge. I’m going to try VERY hard to not let this be the first step off a slippery slope and derail my challenge goal completely. I need to finish 15 more projects to complete the challenge, and I’m going to try and stick to that!
Here are the siren-calling charts from French designer Nathalie Cichon of Jardin Privé (translation: Private Garden) that lead to my demise:

My Lady’s Quaker

Gentleman Quaker (alternate version without dog)

Quaker aux Clefs
Aren’t they wonderful?! I saw the My Lady’s Quaker design on Nicole’s blog, and from there, followed her link to the recently formed US SAL blog. There is already an on-going French SAL for My Lady’s Quaker as well. In addition to the photos on their blog, you can also see some of the finished pieces in the Gallery section on the Jardin Privé website. I highly recommend checking out the versions stitched by Monique and Virginie. I think their colorways are absolutely stunning!!
Originally, I was just going to order the My Lady’s Quaker chart. After that, I noticed the Quaker aux Clefs and figured since I was already slipping off my plan, I might as well have that one as well.
When I went by the site today to get the link to send to a friend, I saw that Nathalie released Gentleman Quaker today. Well, I naturally had to have him to go along with my Lady, don’t you agree?
These beautiful designs may put my new rotation plan at risk in the very first week of existence.
Ok, I need to wrap this up since my break is over now. Until next time …

OMGosh! I’ve been trying to resist this temptation for days! I have so many projects already in the pipeline…so I bookmarked it for later. I hope I can resist. You bought the same ones I was contemplating!
I’m having a really hard time resisting My Lady’s Quaker. Love her hair! I really liked seeing all the colorways too. Dang, what to do… what to do…
Wow, those are great designs! I love the Lady Quaker…. and the Gentleman needs to go with her! I look forward to seeing your colour choices.
I am so in love with My Lady’s Quaker! I haven’t purchased it yet though. I wonder how long before I cave?
I am trying to resist those Quakers, too. I hadn’t seen the dog one–that is too cool!
Good luck getting the computer thing sorted. I HATE it when technology goes awry.
Of course you had to have the gentleman to go with the lady! Perfectly reasonable. As for challenges and rotations, I have confidence you will be back in the saddle.
I’ve resisted so far, but I doubt it will last past Friday (payday) LOL.
What colors??
I can see why you stummbled with those charts. They are sweet! I saw the lady with a cat next to her… and that is the one that is making me almost cave!
Good charts.
I’m looking forward to seeing you do this. I’m enjoying working on the Lady myself.
Oh, boy, Melissa! I’m loving that little Quaker Girl, too. I have so many WIPs, though, and several RRs going at the same time…don’t know about starting something else. You’ve given the whole SAL and chart the best ads I’ve ever seen! LOL Hope you have lots of fun with these pieces.
Hugs, Deb
