**tap tap tap** Is this thing still on?
Sorry for the long delay since my last update. During the five weeks that have passed, I’ve been out of town for a week, worked like a mad woman for a couple of weeks, and have been training for my upcoming half marathon. I can’t believe I’m already in week 6 of my training!! With everything that’s been going on, I just didn’t have the “oomph” to update my blogs, too.
I have definitely been on a bit of a stitching slump since the start of the year, but I’m gradually getting back into the swing of things. Of course, part of that is due to some new stash acquisition.
Some of it I purchased myself thanks to the birthday discount from Drema at Needlecraft Corner, and some I received as birthday gifts from stitchy friends.
Given that I haven’t really updated my blog this year, this will be quite a list. As always, you can click any of the images to see a larger version. Here goes:

Left: Garden of Eerie by Plum Street Samplers
Right: A Quaker Halloween Sampler by Cherished Stitches

Tour Eiffel by Jardin Privé (DMC purchased)

Spot Sampler by Margaret Bendig

Left: Snowy Pines by Little House Needleworks (fabric & beads purchased)
Right: Flying Monkeys by Glory Bee

Lazy Alphabet by La-D-Da (NPI purchased)

Snow Garden by Blackbird Designs
Fabric: 30-count Creme Brulee by R&R Reproductions
Fibers: GAST & WDW
I have one last picture that I’ve been meaning to share for a while, but since I haven’t updated my blog, it never happened.
A while back I was the fortunate winner of a beautiful fob in a drawing on Anne’s blog. She sent me this beauty. Thank you so much, Anne!!
Well, that’s it for now. I’ll try not to go so long until the next updated. ;)
Oh, before I go though, I should give an update about the winner of my donation incentive drawing. The winner was Darla who graciously told me to take the $50 and apply it toward my fundraising in lieu of giving her a gift card. Thanks so much, Darla!!
I also want to thank all of you who have made donations. I really appreciate it so much! With your help, I’ve already raised nearly $1500!! If you haven’t donated yet and would like to, please visit my fundraising page.
Until next time …

Congrats on your great new stash! I love the colours in Snow Garden (they’re even nicer in your shot that on the chart cover), I’m about to cave in to that one myself.
Good to hear from you, and I’m so glad things are going well for you!!
Man, I’d never seen that Halloween Quaker (too awesome!), and your floss toss looks great for SG–is Creme Brulee the recommended linen? And do you think you’ll stitch 1/2 or 2/2 on that 30 ct. I still can’t decide what to do with the 32-30 counts regarding how many strands to use. Man, I do find myself leaning toward Snow Garden, though…Have you seen how some people (Nicole N., and Pat Ryan of R&R are doing all the Anniv. of the Heart series on one linen? You can see Pat’s on Alma’s BBD blog.)
good to hear all is well
keep up all the good things
looking forward to your marathon happenings
congrats on all your fundraising too!
Thanks for your lovely comments, ladies! It’s nice to know people are at least still checking my blog.
Berit – I usually do 30-count with 2/2. I definitely struggle with 1/2 or 2/2 on 32-count. With the 30-count, I always go with 2/2 unless I’m using a plump silk like Belle Soie. I just don’t think 1/2 with cotton gives quite enough coverage.
Your stash acquisitions are wonderful! Glad that things are going well, but that you’ve just been busy. Sometimes life does get in the way!!!
Beautiful new stash! I hope you get plenty of stitching time soon. Good luck with that half marathon!
Great new stash and a beautiful new fob!
Wow, lots of great stash! I couldn’t resist Tour Eiffel either. What colourway do you plan to stitch it in?
