Product Review: FITzee Foods (Coupon Code)

I was recently approached by the owner of FITzee Foods to see if I would be interested in sampling some of their products*. If you aren’t familiar with FITzee Foods, they are a meal delivery service based here in Southern California, but they also ship across the U.S. via UPS.

I took some time to look over their website to see if their entrees would be a good fit for my Weight Watchers food plan. While not everything really worked that well SmartPoints-wise, many of their meal options work great for Weight Watchers, so I decided to give them a try.

One of the things that immediately appealed to me was the quality of ingredients they use to prepare their meals. This include things like grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, and nitrate/hormone-free turkey. Here’s a video from their YouTube channel which talks a bit more about their ingredients:

Having never used a meal delivery service before, I was definitely intrigued and even a bit skeptical, truth be told. I received 14 of their small portion meals as a complimentary sample. I have to say, the quality of the meals I received blew me away! The food was absolutely delicious. Here’s a sampling of some of the meals I received. All SmartPoints were calculated based on the nutritional information available on the product label.

As you can see by the ingredient list for each meal, it’s all REAL food, not a bunch of preservatives and chemicals. I LOVE that. Please note the menu rotates, so not all meal items are available at all times. Each item on the website contains full nutritional information as well as  notations indicating which meals also fit with specific dietary needs such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, etc.

Another thing I really loved the meals weren’t very high in sodium either. Most of the meals I tried were in the 150-350mg range which is easily half of what one would find in a typical frozen meal, but some of them were actually under 100mg per serving yet didn’t taste bland at all! Seriously, I’m sold! I’m a FITzee Foods convert and will definitely be ordering again.

As an added bonus, FITzee Foods is offering my readers a 15% discount on orders placed through November 30, 2016. To take advantage of this offer, just enter “thedailymel15” (without the quotation marks) in the coupon code box during checkout.

Until next time …

It was really good, Jackie! I just placed another order which should be here on Tuesday. Can’t wait! I definitely loved the shepherd’s pie, but it’s not on the menu at the moment since the selections rotate. A couple of are currently available that I really enjoyed (and reordered!) are the red chicken enchiladas and the spaghetti squash with chicken. If you decide to order, definitely be sure to use the coupon code to get the discount!
