Live Fully 2017

Happy New Year!! Yes, I realize we’re already nine days into the new year, but life has been kind of crazy lately which means I’m just now getting around to posting. I came down with a nasty case of gastroenteritis (a.k.a. stomach flu) and landed in the hospital again. While I was there, they did a CT scan of my lungs and verified all the clots I had five months ago when I experienced the pulmonary embolism have completely dissolved. While I would have preferred not to have the stomach flu or be in the hospital again, it was very reassuring the find out the clots are all gone! Woo Hoo!!!

As many of you know, I’m one of the brand Ambassadors for Weight Watchers. While there were no major changes to the food portion of the program this year, one area that is changing a bit will be the whole mindset part of the program. With the new Live Fully campaign, it looks like the program will be encompassing the idea of living “Beyond the Scale” even more. Personally, I think this is awesome! Weight loss for me is so much more about what’s going on in my head vs. what’s on my fork, and I know many of my friends who struggle with their weight are the same.

Now that the holidays have settled down, I’m back to tracking with a vengeance. I have about 3.5 pounds to lose to get back to my pre-Thanksgiving weight and start making forward progress again. I would really like to see that happen in the next couple of weeks. I also  hope to get back to posting here at least once or twice per week.
