Weekly Weigh In – Weeks 1 & 2

For of all, I just want to thank everyone for the amazing support and encouragement you’ve shown me over the past couple of weeks. I’ve received so many amazing comments and private messages not only here on my blog, but also on Instagram, Facebook, and Connect. Making the decision to go back to traditional Weight Watchers meetings wasn’t an easy one, so all of your kind words mean so much to me!

I’m still working to get back into the swing of posting updates here on my blog and totally spaced on it last week. So, this post will actually include my weigh in updates for the past two weeks.

The Daily Mel | Week 1 Weigh In

For my week one weigh in after returning to meetings, I lost 5.4 pounds. I was thrilled, but not really surprised. Week one losses are usually pretty big due to getting rid of the water bloat. Still, it felt good to see such a large drop in a single week.

The Daily Mel | Week 2 Weigh In

Yesterday was my week two weigh in. I was REALLY thrilled with this weigh in. While it’s true that week two weigh ins can also often reflect a water loss, it’s extremely rare for me to have a large loss in week two. In fact, there have been times in the past when I’ve actually shown a gain during a week two weigh in. Seeing a 3.6 pound loss had me over the moon!

My loss this week gives me a total loss of 9 pounds in two weeks. I know this rate of weight loss won’t continue since people following the Weight Watchers program can expect to lose an average of 1-2 pounds per week over time. For now though, I’m just going to enjoy it while it lasts. 🙂  If you want to see how I’m doing overall, you can check it out on my progress chart.

Of course, with Thanksgiving just around the corner for those of us here in the U.S., we discussed our food plans for Thanksgiving next week. I think my day will be very low key. I’ll make a turkey breast, roast some squash, and make some slow cooker “stuffing beans.” I got the recipe from my Weight Watchers leader. I’ll try to get it posted this week in case anyone is interested in trying it.

    Way to go, keep up the good work! I really like this plan versus past ones – I like the focus on protein and the move to count sugar/sat fat and not carbs/fiber. I feel like eating this way is super for realsies. Also, do the meetings seem really awesome to you?
