WW: Week 1 Results

I attended my weekly WW Workshop today to see my results for my first week since going back. Given I had a couple of restaurant meals (both tracked!), I was thrilled to see the huge loss I had for the week.

The workshop topic for this week was all about knowing your why. I think that may be one of the reasons I will be successful this time. I’m firmly in touch with my why and spent several weeks thinking about it prior to actually back back to a studio to begin attending workshops again. I’ll share more about my why in a future post.

After being on WW so many times in the past, I will admit it’s taking me a bit of effort to use all the new jargon following the rebranding from Weight Watchers to WW a few months ago. I still have to catch myself pretty regularly to avoid using the old terms. For those who may not be aware, not only did the name change from Weight Watchers to WW, lots of other name changes took place as well. Here are just a few of the big ones:

  • Centers are now known as Studios
  • Leaders are now known as Coaches
  • Receptionists are now known as Wellness Guides
  • Meetings are now known as Workshops

Of course, one thing that has hasn’t changed is celebrating during the workshop. Since I had such a massive loss this week, I actually earned my five pound milestone charm (for losing my first five pounds) along with a keyring to put on it.

I’m not sure what all the milestones are now for receiving more charms. I know in the past you earned them for major milestone losses (25, 50, 75, etc.) as well as for losing both 5% and 10% of your starting weight. I’m pretty sure they no longer celebrate the 5% and 10% milestones though. I’ll guess I’ll just have to wait and see what they are as I earn them. 🙂

For anyone interested, my progress chart has been updated. Of course, since this was only week one, there’s not much to see there yet. LOL

Until next time …
