  • 1 pound 96% lean ground beef
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 medium onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup divided
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce divided
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • Salt & pepper to taste


  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • In a medium sized bowl, stir together the beef, eggs, onion, oatmeal, ketchup, salt and pepper, half of the soup, and 1 tbsp of the Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently with your hands until combined, but don't overwork.
  • Place mixture in a loaf pan and mold the loaf.
  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, the rest of Worcestershire sauce, and rest of the soup. Mix well then pour over the top of loaf.
  • Bake 75 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 155-160ºF.
